You Didn't Win That. But You Can Sure As Hell Pay For It.

So here we have another example of someone going around thinking she's all "hard-working" and everything so she doesn't owe the rest of us a big fat chunk of what she's won.  Screw that. She owes us BIG! $14,000.00 big...so get out of the damn pool, Missy, and pay up.

Two Gold Medals? Hard work didn't do that.
Because conservatives are scrooges, the good folks at Americans for Tax Reform have gone through the fine print to find out what our Olympians will have to cough up to the IRS should they be lucky enough to win any medals in London.
Even by the standards of our government, the numbers are insane.

"I’m always struck by people who think, well, it must be because I was just so smart. There are a lot of smart people out there. It must be because I worked harder than everybody else. Let me tell you something — there are a whole bunch of hardworking people out there."

My sentiments exactly. Where's my cut?

I was really struck by that part of the comment. Obama hasn't worked a day in his life and wouldn't know work if it bit his leg off.

    1. What he was really saying, to my mind, is that the only difference between someone who is successful and someone who is not is luck. Nothing more. They won the lottery and you didn't, so of COURSE you deserve part of their "winnings." And here...I'll get them for you.

    2. That's how I heard it, too. Only luck separates the two.

The part that still chaps my ass the most is the snotty, shitty way he said that it always strikes him how some people "think they're just so smart". Oh fuck off, ya wanker. Some people ARE just so smart.

  2. I am sorry, the WON has worked very hard (his whole life) learning and implementing ways to cheat and defeat the system enacted by the Founders.

  3. I think we all heard the same things from our Most Beloved Leader - arrogance, contempt, condescension, and (dare I say it) IGNORANCE. The man doesn't know one tiny little thing about how the economy works or how to make a profit...hell...even how to show up for a job! (votes present, watches kill videos and plays golf). What I CAN NOT understand, honestly, I do NOT get it -- is how people who like him can listen to the SAME speech and not see his expressions or hear his tone. I fantasy about turning to them at dinner one night and just launching into that "you didn't do shit" speech with exactly his tone and inflection, but make it personal, and see how they would react.

Everybody gives his a pass and he is an arrogant little asshole.
