In the squishy warm hug of
A video shown at the Democratic National Convention proclaims "government is the only thing we all belong to." No wonder the Dem platform, like our president, doesn't mention our rights come from our Creator.Yes, no wonder.
Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee has suggested that when President Obama said "you didn't build that," he was really saying that it doesn't belong to you. That jibes with a statement Rep. Jan Schakowsky, D-Ill., made on Chicago's Don & Roma radio show recently.
Schakowsky was asked to define what Democrats meant by paying your fair share and define how much of our income we deserve to keep. "I'll put it this way, you don't deserve to keep all of it. It's not a question of deserving, because what government is, is those things we decide to do together." Government has the right to all your income and will decide what you get to keep.Taxation is a freedom issue, kittens. If you never thought of it that way...start. Because it's about to get real.
Here's how they feel when you don't want to submit to their great big hug.
Think they're kidding? I don't.
Isn't she adorable? |
So how far does the idea of taxation and confiscation go...for the Democrats? All the way to losses. As in everything. And more.
The young blonde, God love her, at around 0:38 pipes up with the most delightful economic theory of the video. Let's take it all!!! But the ENTIRE VIDEO, kittens, is an extension of Obama's top three most revealing statements (in order of go)
- When we spread the wealth around, I think it's good for everyone.
- At some point, I think you've made enough money.
- You didn't build that.
Don't like it? They want to kill you.
Big group hug.
Why can't we all just get along? Because fuck that shit. |
Maybe we could weld them the into building and then play Milton Friedman and Thomas Sowell clips at full volume on the big screen. Over and over. Either they'd learn something or they'd kill themselves to escape. I see no actual downside.
ReplyDeleteLove it. And Thomas Sowell would so add to their cognitive dissonance, since He's black! but He's conservative! but he's black!, etc., etc.
DeleteYou could probably make a lot of money on the Pay-Per-View rights too.
The only problem is that their minds are probably like a jello mold. They'd appear to learn something but as soon as you let up the pressure, sproing! back to stupid.
DeleteHO-LEE CRAP! That description of liberals is PERFECT!!! I have often been in conversations where they are pinned -- PINNED -- and must admit to a fallacy in their thought and just when you are sitting back, smiling in good fellowship, about to remark that, "See? We can find common ground in the truth" or something along those lines...there goes the SPROING! and they are RIGHT back to stupid. It's inconceivable!
DeleteButtercup, That's because their minds put truth in the 'too hard' basket.
DeleteThe one common thing I've found with liberals is they can't handle truth/reality. Anything that pierces their bubble of delusion is NOT allowed. The sad thing is I've met plenty of them with good minds - they just won't use them where handling reality is concerned.
RG, that might work, but an even more satisfying solution would be to put them one at a time in a room with a pistol with one round. Tell them they have five minutes to decide whether to off themselves for the good of the environment, or to be deported to the workers' paradise of their choice, Cuba or North Korea, but they'd never be allowed to return.
ReplyDeleteI tend to get cranky around communists, especially stupid communists.
Not Cuba, that's too close. They might find their way back.
DeleteJust don't send 'em here to Australia - we've got enough stupid of our own..
DeleteWell, okay. Could be an interesting breeding program though. If you cross-breed American stupid with Australian stupid maybe you get hybrid vigor. Probably too risky to test though.
DeleteThey could all probably be convinced that the only way to escape the horrors of global warming is to move to Antarctica.
Alright, just because we can actually appreciate it, isn't there a bit of irony in wishing libs death for...them wishing us dead?
ReplyDeleteFair enough. Maybe we could offer them $x per year for life but in exchange they never ever get to vote again. For most of them, the price for their birthright is probably pretty low.
DeleteNot irony, just symmetry. In war, each side wants the other dead.
DeleteI actually found the honesty in this video refreshing. Every one of these people, we could have a debate with, because they're willing to discuss what they really think. The people I can't stand are the ones who claim to be all in favor of the free market, but are just lying. You can't argue with a liar.
I would bet money that these same people would lie through their teeth if they weren't at the convention. They probably thought they were "safe" and among friends. Of course, talking with a reporter is never safe, but they aren't that smart. I imagine they were finally relieved to just say what they believe instead of always having to lie, avoid and deflect.
DeleteDon't get me wrong RG, I am all for population control, it was just irony that I thought could be appreciated.
DeleteIf the parties were actually 'at war' Jeff people would be dying by the millions. If rules of war are ever part of the rules of American politics, it is already not American politics as we know it. I think the Jell-O mold paradigm would hit you square in the face if you tried to debate anyone there. You can't debate with honestly stupid people either(indoctrinated? mind controlled? simple minded?).
Never occurs to them that if they've got any money left over or they've added any additional assets at the end of the year that's their profit. Evil running dog capitalist pigs that they are.
ReplyDeleteYes, the dirty little secret in communism is when they are spouting that "altruistic" nonsense and acting holier-than-thou because they care, they never see themselves as the one with the ability or profit or power. It's always the "other" guy. What they don't realize is the next guy in line just behind them, thinks THEY'RE the "other" guy.
DeleteWhen you support a system based on theft, don't be surprised when all your shit is stolen.
DeleteYeah, basing your civilization on who's got the power to enforce their will is stupid. Somehow they never think ahead, that someday they could find themselves on the wrong end of the whip.
DeleteActual progressive probably only amount to 10% of voters. The rest of the Democrats are either lazy, stupid or too lazy to be stupid.
ReplyDeleteThe undecideds are too cowardly to fight for what's right. They know that stealing money for bullshit is wrong, but are too hopeful they might find a way to get a spot on the public tit.
Everyone else is proud of being self-sufficient; resents the assholes that steal with a law book and know if it ever hits the fan, only dumbasses will make the mistake that ends their days of stealing.
One other thing: The efforts of churches and Christians have done more to help the needy than all of the government programs.
When you look at the type of insults they hurl at various Republicans it looks like all the special interest groups that make up the Democrat party really dislike each other. The only thing that binds them together is access to that public tit. And it's threating to go dry...
