Smartz...I haz it.

Found this interview over at the wonderful blog by David Thompson, and I am dropping it here because I love Thomas Sowell, and because I WAS RIGHT! Or, to be precise, Mr. Sowell agrees with me. And that's even better than being right, because it also means I'm smart! Damn, I'm good.

The entire interview is worth listening to (not just the part where he agrees with me) for his theories on the intersection of wealth creation, geography and isolation. Basically, to sum it up, if you happen to get stuck in a shithole part of the world, like the Eskimos or the Aborigines, you will stay poor, backwards, and stupid. People need to interact to create wealth and to progress culturally.

Good stuff.

I would also interject into his thesis that FREEDOM is absolutely required for the creation of wealth because it ALLOWS people to interact on their own terms. You can't force creative interaction. You can only inhibit it.

Just my two cents, but seeing as how Mr. Sowell and I are BFFs now because we agree on "The Donald," I thought he wouldn't mind if I critiqued him a little...HAHAHA!

Ruminating....

Since I am back and yet have nothing of any real significance to say, I think I will just blab. HAHAHA! Blabbing instead of blogging. I like it. It suits me.

So....What is it with liberals? Have they gotten worse? I realize they've always been a little screwy, but lately, it seems ALL of them are just nasty, combative and presumptuous. Against all orders by Farm Boy to keep my mouth shut and sit on my hands, I have stupidly engaged in several discussions with liberals on our company's Facebook page. I know...I know...I should never have said a thing, despite the utter ridiculousness of their retarded memes scrolling by. But I did.

You will have to believe me, though, when I insist that I was REALLY NICE, and I was SINCERELY TRYING to get along while just suggesting that there might be a larger argument in one thread, or in another discussion, asking them to explain their position, or in the final instance, trying to inject some facts.

Oh. no. you. don't!

No context allowed!! You evil right winger!  No explanation of our beliefs!!! You hateful bigot! AND NO FUCKING FACTS!!! My opinions are all I need to be better than you!

I actually had one woman end a discussion by saying that her flat out declarative sentence -- when proven wholly and completely wrong by moi -- was only an opinion. REALLY? She was pretty fucking sure of herself as she threw around accusations and statements that sounded pretty fucking absolute like she had the benefit of KNOWLEDGE and TRUTH. When it was shown that she had neither of those, suddenly it was all just opinion. Even then, she didn't admit to a thing. Didn't acknowledge the facts. Didn't concede one of her bone-headed positions. By taking refuge in the claim that she was only giving her opinion, she was essentially able to ignore all facts and remain firmly convinced of that which is not so. It was like saying, "You can't prove me wrong because it's what I believe."

Fucking nuts, is what they are.

I know I should not be offended because I should know better. I know I should just stay out of it because I know you can not argue with liberals. They don't argue to get at the truth. They argue to let you know how evil and hateful you are because you disagree with them. This is their default position even IF you are sort of trying to agree with them, at least on some points. No. Way. Will. You. Be. Allowed. To. Be. On. Their. Side. If they catch even a whiff that you aren't 100% on board with all their orthodoxy, they will tear out your throat as quickly as they would a member of the Westboro church.

So, I started to think about what is the main difference between liberals and conservatives. I couldn't narrow it down to just one. I think there are a number of irreconcilable differences in the way we look at life and react to challenges. And many people much smarter than I have written about the differences. But I think there are a few important ones.

1. We care about the inside of a man. They care about the outside. Conservatives are interested in the inside of people. We are concerned with laws and social mores that encourage the making of good people. We support families, self-discipline, restraint - both in personal action and governmental power. Liberals don't give a damn about the inside of man, they assume that everyone is just good and that the only reason they aren't good is that something OUTSIDE them went wrong. Something in society or the environment or whatever...but it is outside. And they also are completely focused on laws and programs that deal with only the outside of a man. They focus on feeding men, not helping them lead good lives.

2. We care about truth. They care about power. This is the main reason why you can't argue with them. They are not even capable of listening with an open mind. The accumulation of power always, eventually finds itself at odds with truth.

3. Liberals are cowards. Life scares them. That's why they want power so badly. They don't like reality. They are scared of it. But if they have enough power, they think they can alter reality, make it "nicer." Their inherent cowardice is why they believe in fairy tales like gun control or that Islam means peace, and it's why they fight battles that carry no threat like global warming.

4. They are horny little bastards. One of the issues that animates them more than anything else is sex. They seem inordinately obsessed with any and all issues surrounding sex...and anything that would demand of them some degree of responsible behavior is THEOCRACY!!!! BIGOT!!! HATEFUL EXTREMIST RIGHT WINGER!!!

So, to sum it up, liberals are scared, horny little liars who only want to be taken care of so they can act like spoiled adolescents their entire lives.

Don't take it from me.

Surrounded by the stupid.

WASHINGTON — It’s long been known that America’s school kids haven’t measured well compared with international peers. Now, there’s a new twist: Adults don’t either.

In math, reading and problem-solving using technology – all skills considered critical for global competitiveness and economic strength – American adults scored below the international average on a global test, according to results released Tuesday.

Adults in Japan, Canada, Australia, Finland and multiple other countries scored significantly higher than the United States in all three areas on the test. Beyond basic reading and math, respondents were tested on activities such as calculating mileage reimbursement due to a salesman, sorting email and comparing food expiration dates on grocery store tags.

Is this really a surprise to anyone? When you can confuse a store clerk virtually to the point of tears by handing her a quarter to accompany the $5.00 bill you had already given her after she'd wrung up up the sale for $4.25, you know you are deep into stupid territory. This actually happened. A sales clerk had taken my $5.00 for a $4.25 purchase and entered the amount into her cash register. When I belatedly fished out my quarter from the depths of my Mary Poppins bag and handed it to her, she froze. A confused look came over her. She bit her lip, staring at the five dollar bill and the quarter.

"You gave me too much money."

"No, I gave you the quarter so you could give me back a dollar bill."

"But I only owe you 75 cents."

"Not if you add the quarter to it."

"But I don't need the quarter! That's too much."

I took back the quarter. I then took the additional three quarters she handed me. I paused for effect and to give her brain a chance to have closure on that transaction. Then I put all four quarters in one hand and asked, "Can I have a dollar for these four quarters?"

That's when she almost started crying.

And I almost started laughing.

But I'm not that mean. Almost. Not quite.

Americans are stupid. We are stupid and we are uninformed. But thankfully we score high marks on self-esteem. Yes, that means we are arrogant. This is important because if you aren't arrogant when you're stupid, you might just learn something. Like how to make change.

But wait. All this stupidity is easily explained. It is not, in fact, a result of lowering standards and expectations of performance; nor is it the result of the increasing political power of the teachers' union and the federalization of education through the Department of Education. No. That's just silly talk.

It is all about the inequality.

Simple.

However, my retarded reptilian brain remembers this little video from 2008, and I wonder whether it can be reconciled with the pronouncement that stupidity is simply an expression of inequality.

It would appear from this video, that at the very least, some of our fellow citizens' stupidity results from listening to NPR and reading the NY Times.

How to save a life.

This is a reasonable tactic when faced with the possibility of withstanding an assault of the stupid.

The life you save may be your own.

Liberals are turnips.

Today's quote brought to you by G. K. Chesterton:

Whether the human mind can advance or not, is a question too little discussed, for nothing can be more dangerous than to found our social philosophy on any theory which is debatable but has not been debated. But if we assume, for the sake of argument, that there has been in the past, or will be in the future, such a thing as a growth or improvement of the human mind itself, there still remains a very sharp objection to be raised against the modern version of that improvement. The vice of the modern notion of mental progress is that it is always something concerned with the breaking of bonds, the effacing of boundaries, the casting away of dogmas. But if there be such a thing as mental growth, it must mean the growth into more and more definite convictions, into more and more dogmas. The human brain is a machine for coming to conclusions; if it cannot come to conclusions it is rusty. When we hear of a man too clever to believe, we are hearing of something having almost the character of a contradiction in terms. It is like hearing of a nail that was too good to hold down a carpet; or a bolt that was too strong to keep a door shut. Man can hardly be defined, after the fashion of Carlyle, as an animal who makes tools; ants and beavers and many other animals make tools, in the sense that they make an apparatus. Man can be defined as an animal that makes dogmas. As he piles doctrine on doctrine and conclusion on conclusion in the formation of some tremendous scheme of philosophy and religion, he is, in the only legitimate sense of which the expression is capable, becoming more and more human. When he drops one doctrine after another in a refined scepticism, when he declines to tie himself to a system, when he says that he has outgrown definitions, when he says that he disbelieves in finality, when, in his own imagination, he sits as God, holding no form of creed but contemplating all, then he is by that very process sinking slowly backwards into the vagueness of the vagrant animals and the unconsciousness of the grass. Trees have no dogmas. Turnips are singularly broad-minded.

Joe Dan punches it up.

One can always count on Joe Dan Gorman at Intellectual Froglegs to take the day's headlines and make sense of them -- with a hard punch to the gut - followed by a swift upper cut to the chin that will put you on the floor where you will find yourself rolling around either laughing, gasping or just sobbing...depending on your overall capacity to handle the complete insanity of today's news stories.

If you're up for it, here's his latest.

Enjoy! When the truth hurts this much, you might as well laugh through the pain. And Joe Dan helps with that.

"That's not rain...."

Joe Dan has put together another hilarious and informative video. I'm not feeling funny at all lately, so I'll let him do the jokes.

When F&*K YOU is the only reasonable answer.

THE SITUATION:  Stuart Varney, speaking with Judge Napolitano on "Varney & Co.", relates that one of his producers was given a questionnaire with some surprisingly intrusive questions on it when he switched doctors. One of the questions was whether he/she was concerned about unsecured weapons in the home. Another asked whether he/she was "in a relationship in which you have been physically hurt or are you afraid of your partner?"

THE ONLY REASONABLE ANSWER: F&*K YOU. (Okay, to be polite, don't write it in ALL CAPS. That's yelling.)

Video here.

THE SITUATION: Before the death toll could even be imagined, liberal comedians and politicians were rushing to smirk, blame and chastise conservatives for the carnage. Tears for Sandy Hook. None for Oklahoma.

THE ONLY REASONABLE ANSWER: F&*k you. For the children.

THE SITUATION: Good men are left to die in Benghazi purely as a political calculation by Obama and Clinton.

THE ONLY REASONABLE ANWER: Oh hell yeah...F&&**&&&&*K YOUUUUUUUUU!

UPDATED!!!

And never forget. F&*k you, Miss M.

Working in the media is the only place where stupid earns you 5 figures.

From Small Dead Animals.

Yeah...just like a bomb went off.

The best thing about liberal stupidity is that they NEVER catch themselves. When Nancy Pelosi said the 1st Amendment was about guns, she didn't correct herself. Oh no. When President Peace Prize pronounced corpsman wrong THREE TIMES in the same speech, he never blinked. Nerves of steel.  When Joe Biden told us he had a three letter for the problem with the economy, jobs - and then spelled it out - J. O. B. S. - and then repeated it, he kept a straight face.

They're good.  They're really good.

CORRECTION!!!

Okay...I corrected the title. I discovered that I had misspelled WHERE in the freaking title. I always seem to look my best when discussing matters of stupidity in others. I should really learn a lesson from this...but I won't.

Even a blind chicken gets a few acorns.

After all the ridiculously stupid things Maher has said over the last few years, he was due for an "acorn." The kernel of truth, if you will.

"You're wrong about that. And you're wrong about your facts. Now, obviously, most Muslim people are not terrorists. But ask most Muslim people in the world if you insult the Prophet, do you have what's coming to ya?"
This is it in a nutshell, kittens. All other arguments, protestations, accusations of intolerance shown by other religions, past behavior, historical references -- all of it -- is quite simply bullshit. Islam does not require that every single practicing Muslim throw a bomb or slit a throat, but it DOES require that every single practicing Muslim BELIEVE that bomb throwing and throat slitting are right and proper according to the LAWS of their religion.

Point out the passages in the Bible where it says that a Christian should behead, maim, rape, pillage, terrorize or in any way harm someone for their faith or lack thereof.  I'll wait.

Oh...and while I'm waiting, does anyone else find it hysterically funny that the Director for the Center of Hate and Extremism is himself insinuating that we should hate -- with extremism -- Pamela Geller, author of the well known blog, Atlas Shrugs, by calling her an Islamophobe without even attempting to offer any context or facts for his accusation? Seems we are supposed to take him at his word.

HAHAHAHA! Is irony always completely lost on liberals?

Being right even when you're wrong.

Michael Moore is always right....errr...I mean, correct.

When the Boston bombing was so recent that people were still screaming and bleeding, the erudite Mr. Moore took to Twitter and managed to use his pudgy fingers to hammer out tweets about the OBVIOUSNESS of the blasts occurring on Tax Day and what that OBVIOUSLY meant. Duh.

 OBVIOUSLY.

For my money, 2 + 2 = a five letter word.

When it became OBVIOUS that the attack had been carried out by Muslims (but only because they were losers), the ever insightful, prescient and OBVIOUSLY wickedly funny Mr. Moore tweeted out how right correct he had been all along.

 OBVIOUSLY.

What may not be so OBVIOUS is that the incredible Mr. Moore can't even be original with his sarcasm. This joke was done beautifully by Cliff Clavin ages ago.

Jeremy Irons eats Nanny Bloomberg for lunch. And also something he finds in his teeth.

Chew on that, stupid liberals.

One of the points Mr. Irons so eloquently makes as he thoughtfully ruminates on whatever he retrieved from his back molars, is that liberalism insults your intelligence. It is a philosophy based on the belief that most people just aren't that smart and need to be taken care of. With force, if necessary. Oh...and force is always necessary. Just ask any liberal. When was the last time a liberal looked for a solution to ANYTHING from anywhere other than the government -- nicely accompanied by the use of force? A law, a regulation, a ban, a tax...a jail sentence? As Mr. Irons points out, the government COULD just try to convince us, you know, like the evil corporate giants apparently do every day. So much power do corporations wield over our puny minds that we need a law or a regulation or a ban or a tax or a jail sentence to make us stop doing whatever they deliberately and easily program us to do. Why not use these supposedly highly successful marketing techniques that create, direct and virtually guarantee all kinds of behaviors, from buying a certain brand of soap to, well, perhaps using dental floss regularly? Okay...obviously they need better commercials for that last one...but oh well...

We could have some really interesting TV commercials, billboards, viral YouTube videos. Think of it. The government could rediscover its early and highly successful marketing techniques.

Remember? They used to be really good at it. Actually, they still are.

And while we're at it...public schooling must have sucked back then, too. What's with the little darling's countdown?

"One...two...three..four...five...seven...six...six...eight...nine...nine..."

Oh...someone just hit the button, will you?

Tuesday, April 2, 2013

Leo Terrell is an attorney.

He reminds us of that fact repeatedly because apparently it gives him carte blanche to comment on anything in the political arena, while, in sharp contrast, being...say...a pediatric neurosurgeon like Dr. Ben Carson means -- SHUT UP!

Leo is the wordsmith who put his hands over his ears in a attempt to win the argument during a recent appearance on Hannity. Apparently such behavior makes for good TV because he was back on Hannity last night.

But there is something besides the illuminating lunacy of the left going on here. Notice how quiet Mr. Innis quietly defends his quiet position throughout the theatrics. And comes off as losing.

No way, you say!

Way.

When one side is quietly acting like an adult, while the other side is having a temper tantrum, the temper tantrum always wins. Why? How can this be? Because the LoFo voters just hear passion...and feeling...and urgency...and they can just tell he cares.

And caring delivers the slam dunk, dance in the end zone, take it to the bank win, kittens. Every. Time.

Reasoning is...so...reasonable.

Bor-ring.

We have turned the news into theater and carnivals with pretty girls and men with perfect hair and great ties, and we wonder why it's all become so theatrical and dizzyingly insane.

The news used to be intentionally boring because they were informing you - which used to be their job. Now they are entertaining you - different job.

When news is entertainment, the side with the greatest entertainment value wins.

We'd better start having some temper tantrums. And soon.

If this is his idea of a joke, it's getting old.

Fast.

Obama has now on several occasions bemoaned the fact that he is not a dictator. Poor darling. I thought he would have figured out that the Constitution places serious limitations on the power of the President of the United States during the years he was posing as the President of the Harvard Law Review, or when he was posturing as the Brilliant Constitutional Professor. Didn't all that role-playing afford him some passing acquaintance with the basic setup of our government?

For someone who was going to make inanimate and admittedly large physical features of the planet obey his will, and rather than simply causing Lazarus to rise from the dead, was going to heal the entire planet, it does seem a little petty, even petulant, for him to now admit that he can't bend Bubbling Boehner to his demands.

Loser.

Honestly, what kind of messianic majesty is he wielding if the spineless blubbering Republicans in one branch of government can handily thwart his unquestioned powers of diplomacy? Worst Messiah EVAH!

What does not appear to be thwarted are his ambitions. Even dictator may not be sufficient to bolster his trembling ego. He whines that he would like to be Emperor. Admittedly the title "Emperor" does historically come with better perks. He would get to wear the cool crown and robe that way. And the floor shows are awesome. Imagine watching all of Detroit burn to the ground. It's not good for much else anyway, might as well serve as His Majesty's entertainment.

Emperor Obama. It has a sort of dull, tin-pot ring to it, don't you think?

All joking aside, I find it chilling that a president of the United States would repeatedly decry the fact that he doesn't have more power. He never EVER concedes that working with the Republicans in true bipartisanship should be an option. His only answer to the breakdown of any negotiations with the very government he is supposed to be leading is that he doesn't have more power. Honestly - HOLY CRAP!

This isn't just arrogant. It isn't just intellectually rigid. It isn't just dishonest and manipulative. It is dangerous.

Someone who is always whining about not having more power really, really, REALLY wants more power. What he does not want, is not even interested in, is getting along with anyone who has different ideas.

And the left called Bush a psychopath.

People, this is why my head explodes.

I live a dual life. In my "normal" life my husband and I own a company and interact with people on Facebook, Twitter, our website, and a blog that promotes our company to our customers. In this life I am apolitical. In other words, I keep my mouth shut and my fingers OFF the keyboards except to be a good little company rep. I know...I know...it would seem impossible..and it nearly is. The price of my restraint is my head routinely blows right off my shoulders.

Messy. If this keeps up, I'm going to get a housekeeper.

As my alter ego, I have a personal Facebook account in our company's name, as well as a corporate page. On the "personal" page, I have to endure posts day after day that make me WISH the result would be -- instantaneously -- THIS! ^^^^  Please. Dear God. Misery. Sweet release. Oblivion.

One post came through today. This from an outspoken liberal.

I read this and I wanted to laugh through the reflexive, involuntary screaming. This is Liberalism 101. You couldn't wrap liberalism and all its disastrous beliefs up with a prettier ribbon. But the woman who posted it...didn't get it! She thought this described conservatives.

And I couldn't say a thing.

SPLAT! My head. Gone.

WEALTH WITHOUT WORK -- the welfare state
PLEASURE WITHOUT CONSCIENCE -- War on Women for free birth control and unrestricted abortions
KNOWLEDGE WITHOUT CHARACTER -- overeducated intellectuals
BUSINESS WITHOUT ETHICS -- the corruption of big business aligned with big government
SCIENCE WITHOUT HUMANITY -- liberals don't even LIKE humanity, it's only SCIENCE!
RELIGION WITHOUT SACRIFICE -- Deepak Chopra. 'Nuff said.
POLITICS WITHOUT PRINCIPLE -- President Precious Drone-Strike 18-Hole (thanks Rachel, that was brilliant!)

What am I missing? How do liberals point the finger at others for the very things they have endorsed, supported, FOUGHT FOR for decades? How?

I would be drinking right now, but my head has not regenerated like a lizard tail.

Our Virtual President on Gun Rights

Virtual President Bill Whittle lectures Congress on its responsibilities to the Constitution and, specifically, the 2nd Amendment. Listening to his very rational, informed and historically accurate arguments, one is shattered by how surreal it is to hear someone speaking the truth from the pulpit of power in this country. Listening, we know instinctively that we will never hear a politician, liberal or conservative, Democrat or Republican, say these things ever again in our country.

At least we can pretend, as long as we still have the 1st Amendment.

Saturday, February 23, 2013

Well, it's certainly making me hesitate.

NO MORE HESITATION.

Our government has recently purchased millions of dollars worth of targets for our police and federal agencies to learn how to shoot average American citizens. "Average" as in "innocent." And the name the company producing these targets has dreamed up as the description of the targets' category is NO MORE HESITATION. Nice. This is chillingly, hideously, outrageously, stomach-wrenchingly awful. This is an idea whose time should NEVER come. This is insane.

NO MORE HESITATION.

Really?

None?

Target practice for our "finest."

I guess they have to "practice" shooting at something, what with over a BILLION rounds of live, hollow point bullets having been purchased and now being stored in Social Security offices and DHS locations all across America.

So stop being so damned paranoid! It's our own government learning how to kill us, and stockpiling the ammo to do it, so, of course, we shouldn't be worried. The government LOVES us. Obama has been promising us everything for free for FIVE years now. Obama won a freaking PEACE PRIZE! How can you possibly suspect -- even for a second -- that his administration is preparing for something unimaginable? Something where police would need to be trained to shoot little children, pregnant women, and the elderly? Something like civil war? And might I point out that all these targets are white?

SHUT UP! You hater. Raaaaaaaaacist!!!

OH! Just a little trip down memory lane. It probably has nothing to with this, but remember when the left went bat shit crazy about the Massacre at My Lai? And rightly so, I might add. Looks like our own government is now openly and actively attempting to condition our police and federal agencies to do exactly that to American citizens, should there come a need for it. But now we hear nary a peep out of the left. Because now they are the ones in charge. Nice.

There is simply not a good reason for the actions being taken by our government. Not. A. Single. One.

Except for this:

And this:

And this:

"Protect and Defend" my ass.

When did that motto get replaced with "NO HESITATION"?

If anyone has a good explanation for this, please speak up. I'm all ears.

Things have stopped being funny. If you're still laughing, you're not paying attention.

Proud to be stupid.

I have nothing to add.

Remember, they walk among us. They reproduce. And they vote. Often more than once. It's the Democrat way.
