My belief is that many of these companies, not all but many, were just fronts for money to be run through. You don't go through 535 million dollars as quickly as Solyndra did. The cash was just being shoveled into that company and the PRESTO! all gone.
Yeah, I always suspected that too. That a lot of the money went directly to corporate executives as salary or bonuses and a lot was funneled to other cronies as inflated payments for equipment and services.
Most of the money was probably slushed into Democratic contributor accounts or campaign funds.
In a perfect world, the upper management pogues of these companies would be water boarded until they begged to tell the truth. After that, some political folks would be crucified.
Too bad the letters in his name don't have a green outline, then it'd be perfect. And code.
