How About We Try Electing a REAL President?

We tried going with the cool kid, but that didn't work.
—23 Million Unemployed or Underemployed
—47 Million on Food Stamps
—5.5 Million Homes in Crisis/Foreclosure
—$4500 Drop in Household Income
—$5.5 Trillion of New Debt
—$716 Billion in Medicare Cuts
—$2.6 Trillion for Obamacare
—$1.9 Trillion in New Taxes in Obama’s Budget
—100% Increase in Gas Prices
How about we try electing a real grownup, with a lifetime of real success to be a real president? What's the worst that could happen?

  1. The consequences of Obama, Reid & Pelosi all at the same time. Tsk, tsk, tsk, full remard, anybody should know you never go full remard.

Maturity, competence... You know that could just be crazy enough to work.

Isn't it funny that the pragmatic, fact-based community is the one bitterly clinging to their guy even after four years have shown him to be a SCOAMF? Refusing to see reality about Obama is sort of like refusing to discuss the contradictions and inconsistencies in your...dare I say it?....religion.

    2. It's pretty safe to assume that all criticism of others and praise for themselves is projection. When you're completely incapable of self-reflection that's all you've got left.

    3. Self-reflection is only for those who feel there may be another point of view, that perhaps they don't have all the answers.

Liberals don't have to wrestle with such nonsense. They KNOW.

    4. Buttercup, here's what i just posted over at Rachel's blog in response to something Physics Geek said - the subject being liberals. It might apply here as well..

"Physics Geek, what you say is absolutely true. It’s almost as if they believe that if they deny reality hard enough and long enough then they think they can actually make their version of what they perceive as reality become real in fact. ::shakes head:: It’s really no different than the denial of reality that children often practice when they’re tots. In fact liberals are simply children in adult bodies. I guess that’s another reason why they love the nanny state as they do, along with the handouts."

    5. Damn right. They never grew up and now are refusing to.

The worst part is that we all have to share in their immaturity because they can VOTE. And if you have enough power, you can avoid reality -- at least for awhile.

Course, when reality finally hits, it hits really, really hard. And we all will get smacked.

  2. I wonder what the number of people who are losing the health care plans we were assured we could keep are?

Personally, if I end up with extra costs because I've had to drop the primary, better, plan, I intend to forward the bill to Ø, Reid, Pelosi, and the DNC with a demand for reimbursement. It won't go anywhere, but I'll feel better.

And thinking about it, I think we should start a campaign for us all to do that. These evil people forced through these changes, assuring us we'd be better off for them. We aren't and they owe us.

    1. Okay, as long as it comes out of their personal fortunes. (Amazing isn't it, how you can wind up as a multi-millionaire after a life of "public service".) They wouldn't have enough to cover the full cost but we could throw in the SEIU, and any other cronies too. Real, personal consequences for corruption ... I just felt a disturbance in the force, as if a million bureaucrats and politicians suddenly broke out in a cold sweat all at once.

    2. We self-insure because we own our own business, but we've seen our premiums go up over 20% in the last year. Honestly, we NEVER GO TO DOCTORS! NEVER! I have not been to a doctor in 16 years. Same for my husband. My daughter has never even taken a course of antibiotics and she's 16. We just don't get sick. Injured, yes. We've been to the emergency on the ski slopes for Ellen, but sick? Nope. So we are paying almost $25,000 a year for health care we don't use...and watching it skyrocket because of Obamacare. Love that. Just peachy!!! I'd fired me if I had to provide health care at the cost. I don't do shit anyway.

    3. Given your families' disgustingly good health, and the fact that you don't have another insurance, an HDHP/HSA combo might work for you. If I understand it correctly, you have to put enough in the HSA to cover the deductible, but whatever you don't use one year rolls over to the next, and then you don't have to put as much in. The HDHP woud seem to be basically an old fashioned major medical with the required "free" preventive care stuff added in. I'd love to do it, and my employer is offering one, but I can't because of my husband's Tricare. I'm guessing this prohibition is because of the ACA since the rules seem to be administered by the IRS.

I just don't dare go without something better than plain Tricare standard, since my one daughter has had back surgery for her scoliosis, the other has endocrine issues, we all have migraines, and my allergies have recently worsened to the point where the doc has given me an epi-pen.
