One a**hole in the back row of a Romney rally

A superb rant from Charlie Martin over at The PJ Tatler:

So today’s little furor is some ass at a Romney rally who worked his way around, right in front of the press, and showed off a pretty obviously racist shirt. Now, as Stacy McCain has pointed out, there’s good reason to think the was a troll, a false-flag operation. We’ve been seeing them, organized and disorganized, since the first Tea Party demonstrations — remember “Crash the Tea Party“?
But you know what? Forget that. I’m tired of idiots trying to make one asshole in the back row of a Romney rally the issue. You want to talk racism? Well, let’s talk about this:
  • It was Nathan Bedford Forrest, a Democrat, who founded the Ku Klux Klan.
  • Woodrow Wilson segregated Federal Buildings and jobs after 50 years of integration under largely Republican administrations.
  • It was the Democrat Party in the South that instituted Jim Crow Laws.
  • It was the Democrat Party in the South that instituted “separate but equal”.
  • It was the Democrat Party in the South that supported the Ku Klux Klan.
  • It was George Wallace and the Democrat Party in the South that said “Segregation Forever”.
  • It was Orval Faubus and the Democrat Party that wanted the Arkansas National Guard to enforce segregation, and Dwight Eisenhower, a Republican President, that sent the 101st Airborne to integrate the schools.
  • It was Bull Connor, a member of the Democrat National Committee, who turned the hoses on the marchers in Birmingham, and it was the Republicans who made up the majority that passed the 1964 Civil Rights Act, over the filibuster of such Democrat paragons as William Fulbright and Al Gore Sr. — and Grand Kleagle Byrd.

There's more. It's all good.

Let's just tell the truth about the difference between Republicans and Democrats, shall we?

Republicans are accused of racism because we don't believe in the soft bigotry of low expectations. We truly believe that every man IS equal before the law and among his fellow men and therefore deserves to stand on his own two feet. Of course, there are exceptions, like when some rapacious doctor cuts off both your feet for profit...

...then society must step in and provide for you.

Democrats believe that many, many, many people (actually virtually anyone who is not a politician) are simply incapable of providing for themselves -- NO. MATTER. WHAT. -- and that to suggest otherwise is to be heartless and dispassionate and RAAAAAACIST!

Simple, really.

But Republicans are too stupid to figure it out.

  1. Democrats aren't racist. If you don't believe it, just ask them.

    1. Even asking them proves YOU'RE raaaacist. It's code.

  2. I don't know that you can say Dems believe people are incapable of providing for themselves so much as greedy or stupid to provide for themselves. It covers a greater demographic anyway. Why work for peanuts when they can provide them for free? If you work your way up to making more than peanuts, you are greedy if you don't believe that everyone should be given peanuts before you get more.

    1. I do think that under their holier-than-thou altruism for those "less fortunate", it is all about greedy and stupidity.

There are only two kinds of socialists. Those at the bottom who believe it works and those at the top, who know it doesn't. The ones at the bottom are stupid and/or greedy. The ones at the top are just greedy.

    2. I think it goes at least one layer deeper than that. The ones at the top are not socialists, they are politicians buying votes albeit in a legalized manner. The ones at the bottom actually living solely off the vote payments are greedy/lazy(as opposed to greedy/hard working). It is the ones in the middle who are the Socialists.
      1) They are taught extensively about the Proletariat, the middle class, the unions, etc in school.
      2) Everyone knows at least one hard luck case. The middle class socialists are convinced that those at the bottom are mainly hard workers with bad luck rather than indoctrinated, greedy, lazy or all of the above. They believe free stuff will lift these people back in to the work force rather than encourage them to continue trying to get free stuff.
      3) They really think they are helping people. The ones at the top know better and the ones at the bottom don't feel very helped because they still live in poverty. Then they look (and probably feel) ungrateful which just exacerbates every level.
There are people who have been 'saved' by unemployment or who have gotten on or back on their feet because of Gov't help. You and I just believe they are the vast minority of those receiving Gov't help, while the middle class socialists believe they are the vast majority.
