Even a blind chicken gets a few acorns.

After all the ridiculously stupid things Maher has said over the last few years, he was due for an "acorn." The kernel of truth, if you will.

"You're wrong about that. And you're wrong about your facts. Now, obviously, most Muslim people are not terrorists. But ask most Muslim people in the world if you insult the Prophet, do you have what's coming to ya?"
This is it in a nutshell, kittens. All other arguments, protestations, accusations of intolerance shown by other religions, past behavior, historical references -- all of it -- is quite simply bullshit. Islam does not require that every single practicing Muslim throw a bomb or slit a throat, but it DOES require that every single practicing Muslim BELIEVE that bomb throwing and throat slitting are right and proper according to the LAWS of their religion.

Point out the passages in the Bible where it says that a Christian should behead, maim, rape, pillage, terrorize or in any way harm someone for their faith or lack thereof.  I'll wait.

Oh...and while I'm waiting, does anyone else find it hysterically funny that the Director for the Center of Hate and Extremism is himself insinuating that we should hate -- with extremism -- Pamela Geller, author of the well known blog, Atlas Shrugs, by calling her an Islamophobe without even attempting to offer any context or facts for his accusation? Seems we are supposed to take him at his word.

HAHAHAHA! Is irony always completely lost on liberals?

  1. Yes, irony *is* lost on liberals because of their *wilful* ignorance. They dare not face the truth about the lies they believe lest it leads to them finding out some ugly truths about *themselves*.

Of course they try to destroy or slime people like Pamela simply because she's a ferocious warrior for truth. I've been following her blog since almost she began. I've a lot of admiration for her.

    1. I have been reading Pamela for YEARS as well. She is brilliant, hard-hitting and, as Maher says, a truth seeker.

Guess that DOES make her a hater nowadays, doesn't it?

  2. I wonder if he knows that Pamela Geller crack was a shot across the bows. Step out of line and anybody, leftist or not, will be destroyed. No quarter is granted for past actions.

    1. Maher is far too smart not to know who Geller is. He did that because he was refusing to be pulled in to the professor's taunts.

I was actually on Maher's side through this whole thing.

Honestly, YEARS ago, when he had a little show on public TV, I used to watch him. I've forgotten what the name was, but he was funny, fast and informed. Then he got "famous" and went nuts on his own importance and the need to be constantly controversial. Maybe he is finding his way back. Who knows.

  3. Didn't have a chance to watch that Bill Maher video earlier but just did. Bloody hell, Maher actually gets it on this issue! Now I feel like I'm some alternate universe.. lol

    1. Yeah...what color sky is in YOUR universe, Morris?

HAHAHAHA! I about fell out of my chair when I saw this video. And don't you LOVE the professor who obviously showed up just to defend Islam? Bloody hell.

  4. Was he stoned, drunk or pissed off about his taxes? Whatever happened to Maher (Maher!) uttering contemptuous "that's liberal bullshit"? I think he sensed something in the air and tries to ride the waves of public outrage.

And, forgive me, I can not believe he does not know who Pam Geller is. Matter of fact, I now started to think this whole exchange was scripted. Note how relaxed, ready to his opponent's arguments and how "on cue" Maher is. It's as if he went online and scooped up the Right argument, the whole package prepared by someone else.

I am proud to have met Ms. Geller many times various gatherings; ferocious warrior she is, very brave, fiery and articulate in real life just as her media persona.

    1. You are my new hero! You've met Pamela Geller???? WOW! Tell everything!!!

Oh, I believe Maher knows Geller. He just didn't want to get pulled into that deceptive little segue by Prof. Levin. He just stayed on his point.

I think you're right that Maher is more interested in the winds of popularity than anything. He fancies himself and independent thinker. HA! He used to be pretty decent, decades ago. But he sold out for fame and has spent far too long chasing the "controversial" outlier. Maybe that's what he is still doing....

  5. Well, the Right/conservative/Libertarian/Republican circles in NY are not so vast, to put it mildly, that I wouldn't meet her.
Several mutual acquaintances have been organizing various gatherings where we both were present. Besides, I considered it my duty to support her campaign against the mosque at Ground Zero.
Most recently I spoke with Pamela at a sad event - last year' commemorative meet-up to Breitbart, in a bar in Manhattan. She held the crowd in her palm, as usual.

    1. We are outnumbered, aren't we?

But during this country's first revolution, the patriots were only about 20%...

Those who love freedom and are willing to stand up for it, especially when it is not popular, are always few. Collectivism, by its very nature of affording group anonymity, is always more attractive to the coward, the stooge and the weak.
