Proud to be stupid.

I have nothing to add.

Remember, they walk among us. They reproduce. And they vote. Often more than once. It's the Democrat way.

  2. Uggh. That's so perfect in its stupidity, I'm hoping it's just a moby. It could be real though, a nation that would reelect O has a lot of hopelessly ignorant voters.

  3. C'mon people! That letter absolutely drips with sarcasm. It had to have been written by a Lousy Freeper Troll with a hell of a sense of humor. The best part is, it got past at least one editor, who was sitting there shouting "right on" as he/she/it read the letter.

  4. I'm inclined to agree with RG and Ogrrre that this must be satire, and that the sad thing is that at least one editor must have agreed with it.

Though I suppose it's possible that the editor also had a warped sense of humor and let it through intentionally.

  5. No, it's not satire, it's the way the morons think. My office has a few of them, and they would agree with everything in this letter.

  6. I agree, I think it's a moby/satire, but I think the editor published it without thinking so. He probably thought "hell yeah" and approved that thing without hesitation.

The crazy thing, though, is that I can hardly tell serious progressives from satirical representations of them anymore. A few weeks ago, I would have instantly and full-throatedly insisted that this is DEFINITELY satire, but I've seen some friends of friends (whom I know to be liberals) say a lot of that same shit on Facebook lately, almost verbatim. They really do say all of those things, with extreme earnestness. Which is why our nation is fucked.

But something about that letter to the editor convinces me it's satire - particularly the second paragraph about Obama coming from a civilized part of the country with strict gun control, etc (meaning, Chicago), and its gun crime rate being lower, etc. All I know is if this person is for real, he needs to be found and sterilized and have his voter registration and driving privileges revoked.

    1. When you come home, switng through Illinois, and I can introduce you to ten thousand people who think exactly like this. If we put them all on a plane and sent them to belize, Chicago would be a ghost town.

    2. Og, do NOT send them to Belize. That's our possible escape destination if it all goes to shit up here in Amerika.

  7. Og is right. I know people like this myself, and their minds are unchangeable - nothing but nothing gets through their thick skulls.

  8. I think we are in danger here of characterizing massive stupid as subtle, wicked humor. Because that's OUR style. Not theirs.

But the idea that it IS satire and an EDITOR loved it and printed it is even more deliciously awful.

Either way, it made me laugh. And then groan. And then drink. So I'm good.

  9. I would laugh it weren't so sad and pathetic. And scary.

    1. Well, whether it is actually true or satire, the REAL sad/pathetic part -- and scary -- is that there is enough credible reason to believe it could be true!

      We are in such trouble...
