Checking in...instead of checking out.

One of the interesting things about blogging is that when you start and have absolutely NO audience, you have no expectations and no sense of obligation. You can talk crap, make up stupid stuff, ramble, rant and generally carry on all by yourself. Then people find you and it is thrilling! You exchange comments, you are childishly tickled to death that they would take the time from their day to read your shit, and you think of them as friends. But friends that you must perform for. I know that sounds weird, but there always is this underlying obligation that I must write something WORTHY. This is difficult for me as I have never written anything that is WORTHY in my life, and now that I have developed this sense of responsibility to do so, I've become a recluse...waiting for the WORTHY to kick in.

It hasn't.

So, since I miss my internet friends, I'm going to just write to say hello, I miss meeting you all here, and DOES ANYONE ELSE THINK THE WORLD IS GOING NUTS???

And by nuts, I don't mean the Islamic shootings in Paris and San Bernardino. That is completely rational on their part, given their beliefs, and only to be expected. The insanity is in the West's utter inability to understand and respond appropriately to the threat we face. People are being butchered, crucified, burned alive, raped, shot, and beheaded in the name of a brutal god, and our political betters rush to the microphones to tell us low grade, bare-foot bigots to just hold onto our reactionary, uneducated hatred and settle down.

Hundreds shot dead in Paris and our Beloved President lectures us FROM PARIS about the San Bernardino shooting, saying that this simply doesn't happen anywhere else. While I love irony as much as anyone, this borders on the creepy. And the primary thing our DOJ is worried about is anti-Muslim backlash. You remember how Muslims were being dragged out into the street and set on fire by the hundreds after 9/11, don't you? It was awful. Wouldn't want THAT to happen again.

Hundreds dead in Paris and Obama tells us from Paris that it never happened. Fourteen dead, and Loretta Lynch is more worried about what has never happened than what has just happened.

The world is going nuts!!

The worst thing is that history shows us that when the world starts going nuts, there is no stopping the plunge. We don't come out of the grand mal seizure until it exhausts itself in its own time and millions are dead. I think we are going to see some Very Bad Things very soon.

But one of the things I know for certain about such insanity -- there is nothing any of us can do about it. Not a damn thing. Given that reality, and the fact that I am sitting here alone, having eaten the last of three teeny little chocolate peppermint candies, I am pissed.

But I have a little Cognac left, so I have the proper libation for pondering.

Why are we so stupid?

We refuse to admit there's a connection between the fact that every time a Muslim becomes MORE religious, innocent people end up dead. When Catholics become more religious, they become Mother Theresa. Major difference.

Why are we so scared?

The main argument against recognizing Islam for what it actually is seems to be that there are so many of them that we can't admit the truth. People look at me and gasp, "But there are over a billion of them!" My answer, "So fucking what? That just means we've got some work to do, and we'd better get started."

Why is the West so willing to commit cultural suicide?

Knowing what we do about Islam, why are we letting in hundreds of thousands of unvetted Syrian refugees? Our leaders are either retarded or dangerously treacherous.

And why is SCIENCE! the god of the liberal until it smacks their precious tolerant ideology around? Then you're a religious bigot for using SCIENCE!

Studies prove it.

I get the feeling this administration just isn't on our side. Or on the side of the Constitution. But Joe Walsh is on our side. And on the side of our Constitution. Go, Joe!

There is just so much craziness, and there simply isn't enough Cognac.

And now, for a little light entertainment.

Sorry for not posting much lately. Honestly I've been incredibly busy. But mostly I'm just incredibly dumbstruck.

Just a "goat rodeo" as Mr. Whittle is fond of saying. Cracks me up.
President Peace Prize is threatening to cause American deaths over sequestration. It's as if the big bad mean Republicans are taking ONE candy lollipop from widdle poopkins while leaving the little darling IN the candy store, and he's throwing a temper tantrum. Am I missing something?

Bets that after all the chest pumping and fist pounding, not one slim dime is ever cut from the budgetless budget.

For how would we know, anyway? There hasn't been a budget since Obama was elected. Just recently he was assuring us that he had SAVED us over a TRILLION dollars. Okie dokie, Smokie.

"I would love a cup of tea. I need something to sip while watching the insanity."
"Yes, that's it!" said the Hatter with a sigh, "It's always tea time."

But apparently mere threats of death and despair and human sacrifice and dogs and cats living together were not sufficient to make President Peace Prize's point. So he has released thousands of serious criminals to the streets. Let's see how the little people like THEM apples! Maybe we'll learn our lesson and quit being so uppity. (Once upon a time that phrase was racist, but now that it can be applied to the ENTIRE COUNTRY, I think the code has been broken.)

I hear "release of criminal illegal aliens" and I think, "target practice." So bring it, asshole. The world needs a lot fewer bad guys and locking them away just keeps them from getting the killing they so desperately need.

All the while our very own Department of Justice is busily and carefully using the wrong words to explain very, very wrong actions as if they are right as rain.

I don't know about you, but just the fact that we must have conversations between a Senator and the highest law enforcement official in the country where they mull over the finer points of murdering Americans, you know, just working out the when and the how, is HORRIFYING. Why isn't everyone out in their front yards running around in circles and flapping their arms, screaming, "They're going to kill us aaaaaaaall!" Because if they didn't want the authority to kill us at their whim, they wouldn't be dancing around the issue like a finalist in Dancing with the Stars. Kudos to Senator Cruz for making Holder spin like a child's toy in an effort to NOT address the constitutionality of simply offing anyone they want because...THREAT!

Oh, and drones. Yeah. Way cool.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't it the Left who insisted measures like the Patriot Act were unproductive, anti-American, and illegal, while the War on Terror was worthy of prosecution for war crimes when it was Bush and Cheney in office. Now President Peace Prize can take out anyone he wants, anywhere he wants for any reason he wants, and we're wrangling over whether it's constitutional or not. I'm no constitutional scholar like our esteemed president, so I must be missing subtle nuances hidden in the Constitution. I thought the document was pretty clearly written, with phrases like "shall not be infringed", but I'm simple like that.

I should just let super intellects like Danica Patrick convince me to stop worrying. I mean, if it's a good idea to let the government make all the decisions on when I should screw, it's just a tiny, baby step to letting the government screw me all by its lonesome.

Have I covered everything? Undoubtedly I've left out some of the madness. The room is swirling and my head hurts.

So about that light entertainment.

If you can get to the guinea pig and not bust out laughing, you're probably just more informed about the insanity than I. Sorry, kittens, but the truth hurts. And it's not that funny either.

Do You Really Want To Go There?

I pride myself on being cynical.  Not because it takes much skill, it doesn't, but because it takes effort! To be really good at it, you must not be surprised by anything - ever.  Even the most outrageous news story must be met with an insouciant lift of the eyebrows and a decidedly downward glance shuttered by a long, slow blink to express the proper lack of surprise.  Adding the simple phrase, "What did you expect?" is often helpful to fully convey the fullness of one's fulsome cynicism.  I'm pretty damn good at it.

So when I heard last Thursday that the Obama campaign had decided it was a smart tactic to accuse Romney of a felony over an issue that had been thoroughly investigated and found empty years ago when Romney ran for Governor of Massachusetts, I failed miserably at my one talent, my willpower to feign cynicism run over like a cheerleader too stupid to stay out of the way:

"What did you expect?"

The needle on my WTF meter snapped right off.

Busted

And the first thing I thought was, "Do you really want to go there?  Really?"

Like I said.  "Do you really want to go there?"

73% of Americans Racist, Bigoted and Opposed to Fair Elections

That's how the Obama administration would characterize this information:

Most Voters Favor Photo ID At Polls, Don’t See It As Discrimination

The Obama administration is in federal court this week challenging Texas’ new law requiring voters to show photo identification at the polls. Attorney General Eric Holder told the NAACP yesterday that such laws are like the poll taxes of old intended to keep blacks from voting.  But most voters don’t see it that way.
In fact, Rasmussen Reports polling finds that only 21% of Likely U.S. Voters nationwide think it’s discriminatory to require all voters to prove their identity before being allowed to vote.  Seventy-three percent (73%) disagree and say such a requirement does not discriminate against some voters. That's consistent with past polling on the topic.

Watergate was a BFD

But the deaths of hundreds of people as a direct result of a deliberate program to sway public opinion against the 2nd Amendment?

Nothing to see.  Just Republicans using politics to go on a witch hunt.

Well, they got the witch.

Holder held in contempt.

Have You No SHAME?

In his new Afterburner video, Bill Whittle asks us to follow, not the money, but the ideology in order to find an explanation for the questionable - even potentially explosive - decision of Barack Obama to implicate himself in the Fast and Furious scandal by invoking executive privilege.  Obama took this unprecedented move to prevent additional documents from being turned over to Congress.

Once again, the most transparent White House ever is not so transparent after all.

But why would Obama, who has maintained throughout the investigation that he had no knowledge of the operation, now protect Holder by essentially throwing himself on the sword?  This is not like our boy.  Self-sacrifice is not his deal.  Neither is loyalty.  Normally Obama would be more than happy to throw another body under the bus.  I've often wondered if his favorite song isn't, "The wheels of the bus go round and round, round and round, round and round...."

From The Conservative Treehouse

So why now, with the election months away?  Why do this for Eric Holder?  Why this scandal -- where hundreds of people died through the misuse of power in the DOJ?

I think it's safe to assume that Obama doesn't give a damn about Holder.  And I think it's also safe to assume that Obama really didn't have day to day knowledge of what decisions were being made in Fast and Furious, just as he claims.  So this decision seems inexplicable until one considers ideology.

I agree with Mr. Whittle  - I think it does have to do with ideology - but I think Obama's move is evidence not just of his ideological view supporting anti-gun laws, but of his greater ideological commitment to "the long march through the institutions," as German leftist radical, Rudi Dutschke, once said.

This possibility could prove even more sinister than an attack on the 2nd Amendment. My suspicion is that Obama needs Holder; he needs Holder in that position and he especially needs Holder to be there if he's re-elected.  To be willing to embroil himself in a scandal of this magnitude just before an historic election rather than toss Holder aside as he has done to so many others, might suggest that his plans for Holder are even bigger than destroying the 2nd Amendment.  And that's not good, kittens.  That's not good at all.

HAVE YOU NO SHAME?

The mainstream media long ago sold their souls to the Devil in a Faustian deal for influence and policy-making power.  They aren't about to renege on it now when they see the ultimate prize just inches away - the prize of an America "fundamentally transformed" in their image. Their failure to pursue this story is simply a visible expression of where their loyalties lie.

The media is populated with people who see themselves as crusaders rather than reporters.  There are few, if any, strokes for one's ego in simply telling people the facts of an event; so much more seductively compelling to convince people of what they should believe because of an event.  Aaaahhh!  The real power is influence.  The influence to change history...the influence to MAKE history.

And it all falls into place when you follow the ideology rather than the money.

Pay to Play...the Chicago Way

Breitbart.com has the story at Big Government.

Even as President Barack Obama and Holder co-opt the Occupy Wall Street rhetoric of getting “tough” on the Big Banks and Big Finance, the Newsweek investigative report reveals that Eric Holder has not criminally charged or prosecuted a single top executive from any of the elite financial institutions thought responsible for the financial crash.  And why would they?  As Boyer and Schweizer report, “through last fall, Obama had collected more donations from Wall Street than any of the Republican candidates; employees of Bain Capital donated more than twice as much to Obama as they did to Romney, who founded the firm.”

Not a single one prosecuted. This, from the smartest president ever to hold office.

Transparency.

The only thing transparent about Obama and his flunkies is the corruption. It's right in your face.

NO LONGER FUNNY

Given the last post about the Feds buying 450 million rounds of ammunition, this is NOT funny.
The Republican House of Representatives may soon follow the Democratic Senate and give the IRS the power to confiscate your passport on mere suspicion of owing taxes. There's no place like home, comrade.
'America, Love It Or Leave It" might be an obsolete slogan if the "bipartisan transportation bill" that just passed the Senate is approved by the House and becomes law. Contained within the suspiciously titled "Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act," or "MAP 21," is a provision that gives the Internal Revenue Service the power to keep U.S. citizens from leaving the country if it finds that they owe $50,000 or more in unpaid taxes — no court ruling necessary.
It is hard to imagine any law more reminiscent of the Soviet Union that America toppled, or its Eastern Bloc slave satellites.

"America, Love It Or Leave It"? I'd say it's more like the American Express slogan, truncated: "Don't leave home."

THE JOKE'S ON US

Remember this?

We thought we were so clever, didn't we? Well, apparently Obama IS the greatest firearms salesman of all time...to the federal government. Get ready for some REAL fun, kittens.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and its Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) office is getting an "indefinite delivery" of an "indefinite quantity" of .40 caliber ammunition from defense contractor ATK.
U.S. agents will receive a maximum of 450 million rounds over five years, according to a press release on the deal.
The high performance HST bullets are designed for law enforcement and ATK says they offer "optimum penetration for terminal performance."

So when this administration isn't arming Mexican drug lords, it's arming domestic forces like they are the freaking military. Since Obama is NOT going to use these bullets on illegals, just what does he need them for?  Hmmmmm?

Who are they planning to shoot?

WHO NEEDS PRAVDA?

We have the mainstream media right here, and they are busily working for the Ministry of Truth. Winston Smith deserves a promotion.

In Katie Pavlich’s devastating new expose of the Eric Holder Justice Department-approved Fast and Furious operation, Pavlich doesn’t just expose the Obama administration. She exposes the mainstream media for what they are: tools of the Democratic Party, and of the White House.

THE SET UP

My assessment is that the Obama WH and the DOJ wanted an innocent man caught in a complicated situation resulting in a death which could be spun as the obvious outcome of racism. A WHITE-Hispanic man tracks and kills a sweet, young innocent UNARMED black boy. You have NBC editing 911 tapes to make it appear that Zimmerman was stalking Martin simply because he was a black boy.

You have a special prosecutor who waived a Grand Jury (which would have resulted in a full examination of the evidence), and then brings out a charge of second degree murder.

If George Zimmerman is found innocent, the cry will be "there is no justice for the black man! We must fight!!!"

Mark. My. Words.

RACIAL HATRED IS STUPID

And dangerous.  And it seems to be something our Most Smartest President Evah is kinda sweet on.  I remember when he was the great healer, the uniter, a light-worker, not like us common folk. Now we have this:

and this:

This is not going to end well.  Trust me.  And our president and his DOJ are fine with that.

Resist we much.
