In Europe the legend of Saint Nicholas traveling through the night to find good boys and girls to whom he gives presents and treats is balanced with the terror of the Krampus. These creatures go with him, and when they find really bad little children, they steal them and eat them for Christmas dinner.

Nowadays that's considered child abuse. We're just supposed to ASK them if they would like to be good. If they don't wish to comply, then we are supposed to accept that as perfectly alright as well.
Wow, most of those are impressively realistic and scary looking.
ReplyDeleteI was robbed though. I watched the whole thing and nobody got eaten.
They save that for Christmas...and I'm sure it's back in the cave, anyway.
DeleteIt's a very interesting of Christmas and Halloween. And yes, it would be nice to have something to scare the children with.
ReplyDeleteBecause I'm the mommy, that's why.
