Oh, shit.

Putin is warning that if Prince Dumbass dares to attack Syria, he will strike Saudi Arabia. That is, in technical terms, what we call "hitting the fan."

PUTIN ORDERS MASSIVE ATTACK AGAINST SAUDI ARABIA IF WEST ATTACKS SYRIA

A grim “urgent action memorandum” issued today from the office of President Putin to the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation is ordering a
“massive military strike” against Saudi Arabia in the event that the West attacks Syria.

According to Kremlin sources familiar with this extraordinary “war order,” Putin became “enraged” after his early August meeting with Saudi Prince Bandar bin Sultan who warned that if Russia did not accept the defeat of Syria, Saudi Arabia would unleash Chechen terrorists under their control to cause mass death and chaos during the Winter Olympics scheduled to be held 7-23 February 2014 in Sochi, Russia.

And just to make sure we are committed to doing everything possible to bring about the end of the world, McDumb and Dumber are only on board for striking Syria if we intend to get so deep into the shit that it's up to our eyeballs.

Republicans McCain, Graham say cannot support limited Syria strikes

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Republican Senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham on Saturday said they could not support isolated military strikes on
Syria that are not part of a bigger strategy.

"We cannot in good conscience support isolated military strikes in Syria that are not part of an overall strategy that can change the momentum on the battlefield, achieve the president's stated goal of (Syrian President Bashar al-) Assad's removal from power, and bring an end to this conflict, which is a growing threat to our national security interests," they said in a statement.
So we're good.

Go big or don't go.

When the bombs start dropping who's taking odds that the world lasts two--three--four days?

Remember this little video? This guy had it almost right. Besides, even if he left out Syria and Saudi Arabia...what difference, at this point, does it make?

  1. I'm doubtful that this is an accurate report on Putin. The story's from the 27th, if it was true it seems like it would have gotten wider coverage by now.

McCain/Graham's position on this makes no sense to me. I don't see how Syria's becoming an increasing threat to national security. Toppling Assad is more likely to wind up putting chemical weapons in the hands of terrorists than the reverse. Time for McCain to pack up his drool cup and go finish out his years at the home before he does any more damage.

    1. Kerry can always give the ole Reset button another shot. Just dig around in the junk drawer of the Secretary of State's desk, it's gotta be in there somewhere.

    2. Ah, yes. Overcharge, which is what the Russians will do to us when we try to keep them from doing something bad to us.

What a great way to possible commemorate the 12th anniversary of 9-11.

    3. Well, the EU Online isn't at the top of the reliability chart, but I think it makes perfect strategic sense and Putin is no dummy. And I no longer believe that truth gets "wider coverage." In fact, I tend to believe that IF it's really true, it's buried. That it was reported on the 27th and no one else picked it up no longer means much to me. It puts our President Peace Prize in a bad spot, so mums the word for his drooling press, which is basically all of the media in this country.

    4. It's possible, but I didn't get any hits from the Israeli or other European media. You'd think somebody else there would have covered it if they thought it was from a reliable source. The Saudi's must be aware of the risk they'd be taking threating the Russians, led by a hard-ass like Putin, when their chief ally is a feckless lightweight like Obama.

    5. Agreed. Except for the feckless lightweight part. I think Obama is the "face" for international interests who are bloodless, powerful and determined. Obama's perfectly creased trousers and carefully crafted speechifying are just to make him look like the anti-war Messiah while taking us straight into it.

So while he may very well be an idiot, the men behind him aren't. And they are pulling the strings.

  2. "Obama's perfectly creased trousers and carefully crafted speechifying"

Indeed, Obama is just a puppet - a useful idiot (with heavy emphasis on 'idiot') for TPTB. Those very rich and very powerful men behind the scenes scare the hell out of me because there is NOTHING they will not do, up to and including WW3 to get their way. They are totally amoral and therefore totally evil. All these people including Obama have only one god and that's themselves.

    1. I agree, Morris. I think the one thing we all do that puts us at a serious disadvantage when predicting this mess is assume that no one WANTS World Word III. And we're wrong on that. There are powerful interests who are just fine with war, massive, global war -- always have been. They finance both sides and end up owning the whole joint when the dust settles.

It's only sane people who don't want war. There are men on this planet with so much power they are not sane.
