#3 is certainly mental, but I would not describe it as "mentalist". Nearly all critters have comedic value, but cats are the best. My mother had a cat that would run in and scratch the tv screen when John Chancellor was on, would run in and wait for her people food whenever she heard mom open up the bag of Fritos, would nap up on the back of the sofa. If she fell off, she would look around. If someone had seen her fall, but was not laughing, she would lick a paw and comb her head like "I meant to do that." But, if someone had the bad grace to laugh at her momentary clumsiness, she would just give that human The Look that cats and women can give. This cat actually rode my dad's dog up to the house after mom had shooed the dog out of her garden twice. The dog was part Dobie, part German Shepherd, and part Heinz, so not a small dog. The cat also "guarded" mom when mom when out to pick up pecans. If any of the calves showed up, though, mom was on her own.
Yep, I've always loved cats - mainly for their comedy value.. :)
ReplyDeletehehehe! The reason cats are so much fun to laugh at is that they take themselves so seriously.

I LOVE your cat. Those stories are priceless. Ours is just an asshole. No funny stories to redeem him - at ALL.
