Newsweek Had It ALMOST Right

And so does Protein Wisdom, as he contemplates his future in the "new" Socialist United States.
And yet here I was, yesterday a free man and today a subject, a piece on some central planner’s RISK board, wondering about the future — about my children, both born free and both now slaves to a central authority with the Constitutional right to tax what they both do and don’t do — and it struck me:  the best thing for me to do, in this, the new Socialist Utopia, is nothing that I’m commanded to do.
So, are we all socialists now?  Frankly, I am not so complimentary to my fellow Americans.  This is more what we are now.

We've sold our souls in a weak and ultimately futile bid to save our bodies.  Healthcare for freedom.

Nice trade.

And lest you protest that YOU didn't support this...so what?  If you support Medicare, or Social Security, or farm aid, or any number of entitlements and programs which, merely because of their existence, we have decided have nothing to do with the slow erosion of freedom, then you essentially supported this.  We all are in on this.  Because this -- Obamacare -- would NEVER have happened in a truly free America.

We gave that up long ago.  We are only now seeing the end game.  And even now, there are those on the left who smirk that such thoughts are hysterical and without substance, just drama.  A tempest in a teacup.

And perhaps they are right.  I know that this decision will not send us to the hills with long rifles and supplies.  It won't even cause us to march on Washington.

In less than a decade, we will all accept socialized medicine as inevitable, the only REASONABLE response to a broken system.

Never mind that the government had the hammer that smashed the system to bits.

Chief Justice Roberts may not be a genius, but the creators of South Park are!

This was their take on the Bailouts.

We are all humped.  And I'm buying a kazoo.

The liberal idiots who are applauding this decision because they won...have no effing idea what they actually won.  And for now, they don't care.

Someday they will.  Of course by then our only solace will be to say, "I told you so."

Great.

Let Me Be The First To Say It

Chief Justice John Roberts is a coward.

There is simply no other explanation for what he did in his ruling on Obamacare.   It does not and can not stand legal analysis.  It is not clever, as many have tried to argue, making Roberts some sort of sly legal genius, saving us all with a wink and a smile.  It can not be supportable logically.

Only cowardice could have delivered the opinion he wrote.  The left loudly threatened that if Obamacare was struck down in a 5-4 vote, it would PROVE the illegitimacy of the court.  A 5-4 vote would be conclusive evidence that the Supreme Court is completely politicized and therefore could not be respected or even recognized as a legitimate, functioning balance to power.

It is vitally important to note that this argument completely ignores the position of the liberal side.  Everyone in this entire country knew that the four liberal judges would vote in favor of this law - and all four did.  There was never any question that they would even consider its constitutionality.  Only those justices viewed as conservative in thought, and therefore potentially opposed to this massive overreach in power, were being held as "politicized" and illegitimate.

In other words, kittens, we have reached the point in this country where only liberal political thought is legitimate.  And the Supreme Court, under the coward, Roberts, has just affirmed that.  And he destroyed due process in order to do it.

Basically, from now on, the law can be whatever they say it is, whenever they say it.  Suck on that.

So get used to your new Overlords.  Because now it's all of them.  The President, the Congress and the Court.

But remember to play nice with Big Government.  It has Big Guns, too.

UPDATE:  The Volokh Conspiracy - Roberts switched his vote due to political pressure.

Like I said.  Coward.

"If you, who make less than a quarter million dollars a year, you will not see your taxes increase one single dime under my plan. Not your payroll taxes, not your income taxes, not your capital gains taxes.  Nothing!"

"Well, hold on a second, George....My critics say everything's a tax increase....I absolutely reject that notion."

Liar

You do? You absolutely reject that notion, do ya?  Your attorney didn't.  The Supreme Court didn't.  You might want to have a little sit down with your legal team next time something this big happens, Buckshot. Mr. Constitutional Attorney.  Mr. Smartest President Evah.

Every Man's Secret Wish

Sore Winners

Everybody's heard of sore losers...but liberals manage to be vulgar and lacking in manners and decorum even when they win. Executive Director of the DNC, Patrick Gaspard, tweeted: "it's constitutional.  Bitches."

Don't you just FEEL the love?

Yeah...me, too.

It's Not A Tax Unless We SAY It's a Tax

It's not a tax.

Okay...it's a tax.

So now the government can "tax" you to make you do anything or buy anything.  Say goodnight, Gracie.

As if they couldn't already...but still.  Screw freedom.

And just think, kittens, now that it's a tax, you can be arrested on tax evasion, have your property confiscated...all KINDS of fun stuff.  Kinda makes that little transportation bill that Boxer sponsored that allows the IRS to confiscate your passport on the suspicion of owed taxes a little more ominous, doncha think?

If the shooting doesn't start soon, I'm going to take the blue pill.

In the meantime, I feel a song coming on...

"Yes, I Threw Them Away."

The world is going insane.
A Russian mother told witnesses she threw her two young sons to their deaths from a 15th-floor balcony because she was "fed up" with them, RT News reported Monday.
Ryabkova reportedly later told witnesses she was "fed up with children" and "decided to get rid of them."
I do not want to live in this world anymore.  I want to live in a world where if someone does something this horrific, this insanely selfish, they are promptly dragged away and executed the next morning.  Done.  Deal.

THE END

We care far too much for those who act on sociopathic, narcissistic impulses and not one damn bit for those destroyed because of it.

I need to buy an island.

Free Enterprise is a Moral Imperative

The right to choose what one does with one's own life, and then to earn success because of one's choice, is essential to happiness.  Nothing given to us, no matter how much we want it, can make us as happy as that which we earn.

My way of comparing free enterprise or capitalism with socialism is that in socialism, one is primarily concerned with insisting that others make you happy; capitalism is based on your desire to find ways to make others happy.  Socialism is directed inward at "me me me!"  Capitalism is directed outward toward "how can I help you?"

Survey SAYS!

"Name five members of Congress"

A Pew Study finds that Republicans are better-informed, more intellectually consistent, more open-minded, more empathetic and more receptive to criticism than their fellow Americans who support the Democratic Party.

No kidding.

So the fun part is defining what that makes Democrats by contrast:

Ignorant
Dishonest
Intolerant
Insensitive
and effing touchy about it.

Mental Illness Can Be Fun

from Joanne Casey's I Have Seen The Whole Of The Internet

Remember, there is always "fun" in dysfunctional.

Summer is Here

Only a few days ago summer arrived with the solstice, and with it the softening of days under the bright force of a high, hot sun. Summer is a season of contrasts - the invigorating cool of early mornings that promise languid heat in lazy afternoons. The deep wisdom of plants bursting forth from the earth, doing their work, and the frivolous gaiety of animals playing in the fields.
I know a bank where the wild thyme blows,
W
here oxlips and the nodding violet grows,
Quite over-canopied with luscious woodbine,
W
ith sweet musk-roses and with eglantine:
There sleeps Titania sometime of the night,
Lull'd in these flowers with dances and delight.

Have You No SHAME?

In his new Afterburner video, Bill Whittle asks us to follow, not the money, but the ideology in order to find an explanation for the questionable - even potentially explosive - decision of Barack Obama to implicate himself in the Fast and Furious scandal by invoking executive privilege.  Obama took this unprecedented move to prevent additional documents from being turned over to Congress.

Once again, the most transparent White House ever is not so transparent after all.

But why would Obama, who has maintained throughout the investigation that he had no knowledge of the operation, now protect Holder by essentially throwing himself on the sword?  This is not like our boy.  Self-sacrifice is not his deal.  Neither is loyalty.  Normally Obama would be more than happy to throw another body under the bus.  I've often wondered if his favorite song isn't, "The wheels of the bus go round and round, round and round, round and round...."

From The Conservative Treehouse

So why now, with the election months away?  Why do this for Eric Holder?  Why this scandal -- where hundreds of people died through the misuse of power in the DOJ?

I think it's safe to assume that Obama doesn't give a damn about Holder.  And I think it's also safe to assume that Obama really didn't have day to day knowledge of what decisions were being made in Fast and Furious, just as he claims.  So this decision seems inexplicable until one considers ideology.

I agree with Mr. Whittle  - I think it does have to do with ideology - but I think Obama's move is evidence not just of his ideological view supporting anti-gun laws, but of his greater ideological commitment to "the long march through the institutions," as German leftist radical, Rudi Dutschke, once said.

This possibility could prove even more sinister than an attack on the 2nd Amendment. My suspicion is that Obama needs Holder; he needs Holder in that position and he especially needs Holder to be there if he's re-elected.  To be willing to embroil himself in a scandal of this magnitude just before an historic election rather than toss Holder aside as he has done to so many others, might suggest that his plans for Holder are even bigger than destroying the 2nd Amendment.  And that's not good, kittens.  That's not good at all.

HAVE YOU NO SHAME?

The mainstream media long ago sold their souls to the Devil in a Faustian deal for influence and policy-making power.  They aren't about to renege on it now when they see the ultimate prize just inches away - the prize of an America "fundamentally transformed" in their image. Their failure to pursue this story is simply a visible expression of where their loyalties lie.

The media is populated with people who see themselves as crusaders rather than reporters.  There are few, if any, strokes for one's ego in simply telling people the facts of an event; so much more seductively compelling to convince people of what they should believe because of an event.  Aaaahhh!  The real power is influence.  The influence to change history...the influence to MAKE history.

And it all falls into place when you follow the ideology rather than the money.

I look horrid in red.

So I decided to Do Something.  I considered my options.

I could say I was 1/32nd Chinese...

Paying a fortune to end up stretched and scarred didn't seem that appealing.

Or I could get injected with bacteria that would paralyze me, and I could end up looking like this...

 Or even this:

I have had laser stuff done on small spots.  Nothing major, and even that was hideously expensive.  And, as Jennifer Aniston attests, it's also not much fun.

 Battered burn victim.  Sounds lovely.

I figured I'd better Google the answer.  Everything is on Google. HOW TO REMOVE 10 YEARS. (Okay...15, but who's counting?)

I found the answer! The TCA peel. And it sounded amazing!  It said it was safe, appropriate for all skin types and that it did all sorts of amazing things. It would tighten the skin, build new collagen, burn off errrrrr....erase lines, remove freckling and sun damage.  Well, sign me UP!

However, the price for one peel in a doctor's office is around $400.00.  I would love to be that vain, but I just can't afford to be.  And they suggest 3 to 4 peels over a period of 6 months or so for the best results. YIKES!  I ran to the mirror and leaned in for a close look.  Up to $1,600 to lose ten years.  Cheaper than a facelift, cheaper than a full face laser peel, but considering that I was currently angling for a new dressage saddle, still out of my price range.

Again Google came to my rescue.  Another search and I discovered you can just buy the stuff and do it yourself! A-HA!  This was right up my alley.  Two of my most notable characteristics are being a Scottish skinflint and enjoying undeserved overconfidence.

I ordered it.  It arrived in no time.  And so began my Countdown to Glory!

It's a Damn Bird, People!

Gavage - the force feeding of a bird yummy, yummy corn
In just a few days, July 1, 2012, The People's Republic of California will join a half dozen other countries in banning the production and sale of foie gras, the fattened liver of a goose or duck.  Opinions abound as to whether this procedure proves one inhumane, shows one's heritage, or accommodates one's gastronomic adventurousness.  Or whether it's just a damn stupid bird and we're going to kill it anyway.

I personally know people who would love to be cared for from cradle to grave while being overfed fattening food without having to lift a finger.

At any rate, I don't care.

First, birds aren't people.  I don't know why I feel it necessary to point this out, but I do.  Anthropomorphizing animals has become the new cool fad in this country.  The further away we grow from our agricultural roots as we become "urbanized" and "citified", the god damn dumber we get about animals in general and what is humane treatment and what is not.

Second, birds don't have a gag reflex.  Unlike you, who would find this procedure somewhat less than comfortable, the bird doesn't mind at all.

And third, the bird doesn't care if it gets fat!  It doesn't care if its liver gets fat. It has no interest in wearing Chanel; it is not ever going to try to squeeze into a size 2 from Lanvin.

This procedure of force feeding was developed as far back as the Romans and is actually an exaggeration of the normal eating pattern in wild ducks and geese who gorge themselves before a long migration.  Thousands of years ago, humans observed this eating pattern in migrating fowl and simply introduced the technique (named gavage) into their practice of raising fowl.  What they discovered is that it produced a fattened liver of glorious and unique delicacy.

Slaves to the state.

Other People's Money

This is intended to make you mad.  This is intended to give you permission to feel morally superior while giving full vent to your envy and greed.  This is intended to convey the message that Ann Romney is spoiled, selfish and clueless; that not only has stay-at-home-Ann "never worked a day in her life", but that she fritters away her time and money on something as elitist and unnecessary as horses.  Dressage horses, no less. How could she?

We are to despise her for staying home to raise her five boys.  We are to hate her for having the means to indulge in horses.  An indulgence, I might point out, that began as a method of therapy for the symptoms of MS, from which she suffers. But the real message here is that we are to despise her and hate her for simply having the means....period.  The real  message here is not that she spends her money on horses, but that she has any money to spend at all.

For a visceral and negligently superficial image like this to resonate, you must hold certain assumptions.

  1. You must believe that private property is theft and that no one has any inherent "right" to what they have.  That others' judgment as to how much you have or what you do with it is the determining factor in whether you are a decent person, whether you are owed respect, or whether you should even be allowed to keep your property.  "I think at some point, that you've made enough money."
  2. You must believe that it is immoral for someone to follow the tax laws of this country.
  3. You must believe that the women's movement didn't give women the opportunity to choose work; it gave them the DUTY to do so.
  4. You must believe that money made in the private sector is evidence of greed and selfishness - or dumb luck.  You either stole it or fell into it.
  5. You must believe that support for legalized theft is evidence of your generosity. "I believe that if you spread the wealth around, it's good for everyone."
  6. You must  believe that only those people who hold the "correct" positions politically should be allowed to indulge their hobbies or interests...or vacations.
  7. You must believe that the amount someone writes off on their taxes is damning and conclusive evidence of insensitive disregard for others, while ignoring what they actually PAID in taxes.  Or what they gave to charity, for that matter.
  8. You must believe that no good comes from the creation of wealth, such as producing jobs, improving people's lifestyles, or realizing dreams achieved through work - it is all raping, robbing and pillaging.  This one is easy as it relates back to 1. and 4. All wealth is accumulated through theft.  There is no creation of wealth.
  9. You must believe that anyone who does what they want because it pleases them or is in line with their personal morals, is a threat to the power of the group.
  10. You must believe that is it morally superior to be more offended by how a private citizen spends their own money than it is to be offended at all by an elected politician who dispenses money from the public treasury to buy power and repay favors.
You must be a complete and utter idiot.

"I don't want to know!" sobbed the little boy. "Promise you won't tell me." He bust into tears.

Confused, the father asked what was wrong.

"Well, when I was six I got the 'there's no Easter Bunny' speech. At seven, I got the 'there's no Tooth Fairy' speech. When I was eight, you hit me with the 'there's no Santa Claus' speech..."

He struggled to regain his composure and wiped away his tears. "If you're going to tell me that grown-ups don't really get laid, then I have nothing left to live for."

Worth His Weight In Gold

This horse is what is known as a "packer"...which is slang for a babysitter.  What a kind guy!!!  But, to be honest, that little kid does stay pretty balanced and out of his way.  He really is quite a remarkable little rider, it's just that he doesn't have a hope in hell of actually DOING anything to affect the horse...just going along for the ride.  But oh well...there are worse ways to spend the afternoon.

And my money says this little kid is going to be a fabulous rider in 15 years.

O.M.G! I almost forgot about this video.  This illustrates in hilarious, cringing, side-splitting, fall-over-in-your-chair-gasping style how a packer can take care of a rider who can NOT stay out of his way or remain quiet on his back.  Compare this guy with the little kid in the first video.

However, even through my tears of laughter I would have pulled the son of a bitch off that poor, gallant, honest horse and whipped HIM when he hit him after missing the spot at that fence. That was NOT the horse's fault.  Nothing in the entire ride was the poor horse's fault. The guy was so bad he was almost mythic.

I do hope he rides with a cup or he's is undoubtedly a eunuch by now. Actually, I kind of like that idea...after seeing him hit his horse.

Yeah...I really like that idea.

Who Knew McConnell Had It In Him?

Things in DC have got to be bad when the RINO's are worried enough to start squawking.  Senator Mitch McConnell steps up to defend the First Amendment and free speech. To be fair, McConnell has always been a supporter of protecting political speech, but to take on Obama directly...well...that's something.

Something MUST Be Done

Ace at Ace of Spades HQ skewers the "intellectual" independent who refuses to make up his mind, like some partisan hack, until he has all the facts. As Ace points out, the independent group is the least well-informed and frankly the least interested group among voters. Sadly, they are a large group and can swing elections. So the fate of the free world rests on the shoulders of the independent voter, which is just a euphemism for the I-don't-give-a-crap-but-want-to-seem-rational-and-measured-instead-of-intellectually-lazy voter.

Ooooh Good Lord. (Emphasis mine.)
One of the most frustrating thing about the politically unaware is their unchanging belief that Something must be done! (all attempts to panic the public into agreeing that Something Must Be Done! are directed at this cohort), but they have little idea of what, specifically, should be done. Something. You know, something. Something must be done, why are you not getting this?
One thing many conservatives never acknowledge is that, ultimately, a successful candidate must agree with this cohort that Something Must Be Done. They cannot be argued out of this position; they've held it all their lives. It's not merely a belief, it's an article of faith.
It's the single thing they know about politics -- Something must be done.
Then Ace takes the independent voter to the woodshed...
Now, [Frank] Luntz gets frustrated, because in his focus-groups, these sorts of people swear up and down on the Bible that they haven't made any decisions, but when you keep asking them, it becomes clear they have made decisions on almost all the factors which will produce their ultimate decision.
Like, in 2008, they might say "Obama would be better for the economy, he has better leadership skills, he's smarter than McCain, he understands ordinary people's problems better than McCain."
And then you ask, "So you're voting for Obama, then?" And they say, "Oh no, I haven't decided yet. I'm waiting for all the facts."
What facts? You think Obama is superior in every important way. What exactly are you waiting for, to admit your preference?

Not Too Liberal...Just Too Old

Could Reagan lead the GOP today? Can anyone, for that matter? To hear the liberal Democrats tell it, we're all a crazy bunch of extremely crazy extremists. We're just so EXTREME! (Which is just code for "you disagree with us").
Reagan, extremely pointing his finger
Too little attention is paid to the basic fact that Reagan was a man of his times and the times have changed. For instance, much of the GOP’s “extreme” opposition to tax increases stems from lessons learned from Reagan’s experience. Democrats promised to cut spending if Reagan raised taxes. They didn’t cut spending. Reality-based Republicans don’t want to repeat that mistake. Likewise, Reagan agreed to amnesty for illegal immigrants in 1986. Rather than be a one-time deal, it proved to be an incentive for more illegal immigration. And so on. The upshot of so much of the “Reagan was too reasonable for today’s GOP” blather assumes that Reagan wouldn’t have learned from what turned out to be mistakes — and that today’s Republicans shouldn’t either.
It's like Lucy, Linus and the football. The Republicans have landed on their backs one too many times as the Democrats yank that darn football away. We're plenty gullible, but we're not stupid. We DO learn eventually. But then, of course, we become EXTREME!

I'll take extreme over gullible any day.

My earlier post on how they weren't going to be satisfied with just taking your Big Gulp was clearly tongue-in-cheek, what with The Onion video and all.  But, even so, there was an element of OH! FFS! in it.  You just KNEW the idiot savants in government weren't really going to leave us alone once they granted themselves permission to tell us what to freaking EAT!

Big Brother is going to be just as big a pain in the neck as your REAL big brother was.  Remember why you left home?

Now you're going to have to leave the country.

That Is One Dead Dog

The short answer is: everything.

I'm a Right-Wing Nut, Which Means I Can NOT Be A Fascist

Let's get this straight.  As a right-winger I can be racist and hateful. In fact, it appears I HAVE to be. Oh...and I'm down for gun-toting, bitter-clinging, Bible-thumping, cousin-jumping, and beer drinking, too. All this fun because I don't like can't stand Obama, his czars, and their collectivist, dictatorial, fascist, top-down rule.  Especially when the "top" is filled with idiots.

The unavoidable contradiction in leftist ideology is that their egalitarian, everybody-is-equal, social justice, every-vote-must-count, power-to-the-people rhetoric must necessarily be implemented by an insulated elite who is waaaaay more equal than those who support them. The reality of true democracy is that it simply doesn't exist. It can't. It has no structure to function if everyone remains in the decision-making process and every freaking voice is taken into consideration on every freaking thing. Can't work. That, kittens, is chaos. So it inevitably morphs into the masses handing over everything to a select few who get to "speak for you." Rule by committee.  Think of the same nice kids who were on the Senior Prom committee and decided everything.  Remember how great that turned out? Thank GOD the years of "Stairway to Heaven" were slightly before my time.  Did ANYONE ever listen to the words of that song? Stupid on steroids...but I digress.

ALL leftist ideas are eventually expressed through some variant of rule by committee, because they are all based on the ideal of absolute democracy. So you can just quit worrying your pretty little heads about this, okay? Socialism, communism, Nazism and fascism are ALL ON THE LEFT. They are all collectivist political structures. They are all essentially rule by committee. They are all throwbacks to the first political structure known to man - the tribe. It was only with the truly progressive idea that each man belonged to himself and NOT to the tribe that we developed any other political idea on which to base a government. And they gave it a name. Republicanism.

For the first time in human history, it was decided that the individual had natural rights that could never be removed by a majority vote...or by the rule of that special and wise Senior Prom committee. This was truly radical and progressive.

Republicanism believes in the RESTRAINT of power; all other forms of government believe in the EXERCISE of power.

Limited government, rule of law, enumerated rights of the individual, a system where the majority could not vote away an individual's right to life, liberty, or property - no matter how necessary it might seem to everyone else - is an idea created by the right.

Socialism, communism, Nazism, fascism. All are political systems where the power of the government has no restraints and dictates the actions of the market and, therefore, the individual. They are all ideas of the left. The difference between these variants of collectivism is who appears to actually own the means of production. This is splitting hairs. It matters not who owns them if the government makes every single decision as to what the "owners" can do, what they can produce, and what they can keep.

So what especially peeves me is that apparently bright people, well...okay...EDUCATED people actually believe that while socialism and communism are on the left, Nazism and fascism are  phenomenons of the right. This is a degree of stupid that can make the blood vessels in my eyes pop from the pressure.

With that in mind, Thomas Sowell, in his inimitable style, goes into details about some of the finer distinctions between socialism and fascism.

Stupid Really IS a Five Letter Word - Obama

And you thought I was kidding.

Romney is pounding this idiot with his own words.  LOVING IT!

Please, sir, I want some more...

Our Food Stamp President

The Obama administration said it “strongly supports” the federal food stamp program in a Wednesday press release supporting a Democratic-sponsored farm bill that would extend funding for the program until 2017.
“The administration also strongly supports the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), a cornerstone of our nation’s food assistance safety net, which is why it was not subject to cuts in the president’s budget,” the press release read.
I would be happier if they "strongly supported" a robust private sector.  But that's just me.

Under our great and glorious Leader, The One, He Who Would Heal Our Souls and Cause the Oceans to Recede, spending on food stamps has gone up over 100%

But heh! "The private sector is doing fine."

Bad Ideas Never Go Away

At least not in government they don't. In government, they just keep coming back like Michael in Halloween.

The Law of the Sea Treaty is a hideous piece of socialist garbage that has been hanging around for decades and we've never had a Senate stupid or corrupt enough to give it any real consideration. Until now.

Remember, when he talks about sovereignty, it is not just some abstract and archaic notion - he is talking about YOU! The question is, under this treaty, will you remain your own person, protected by the laws and the ideals of freedom on which this country was founded and for which many have fought and died? Or will your rights be signed away by a Senate that is more interested in consolidating power into the hands of a very few and totally unaccountable elite? America exists to protect you, the individual. To my mind, anyone who signs this treaty should be tried as a traitor. Clearly, they are not abiding by their oath to protect and defend the Constitution.

Mugging Maugham

The news lately has been filled with democracy-killing union-busting, horrifyingly out of control state budgets, and the deplorable quality of service the taxpayer receives for his hard-earned dollars. This is depressing and I think it's important to look on the bright side, if only once in awhile.

High school English teachers from across the country have submitted the best of the best from their creative writing students, highlighting the outstanding teaching they've done with their young charges. It's inspiring.

  1. Her face was a perfect oval, like a circle that had its two sides gently compressed by a Thigh Master.
  2. His thoughts tumbled in his head, making and breaking alliances like underpants in a dryer without Cling Free.
  3. He spoke with a wisdom that can only come from experience, like a guy who went blind because he looked at a solar eclipse without one of those boxes with a pinhole in it and now goes around the country speaking at high schools about the dangers of looking at a solar eclipse without one of those boxes with a pinhole in it.

You Thought They Would Leave You Alone After The Big Gulp

Seriously? You thought it was just about the soda? It's never JUST about the soda...

The Nanny State wants a Fanny State, and Slow Joe is riding this crusade all the way to the hot tub. The man's a genius. In his immortal words, "This is a big f*&king deal."

"Toned, tanned, taut, and tasty."

Of course, this is me. Yes, I'm an enemy of the state.

Working On My Tan

They don't have "equestrian" but it's every bit as attractive, I assure you.

Doing Fine

Or maybe not so much.

Notice, if you will, the dismissive, almost contemptuous tone of his voice when he says, "The private sector is doing fine."  He clearly has only scorn for the private sector - and therefore for those in it. I would go so far as to say he believes the private sector to be his enemy because it is one of the main reasons why there is pushback to The Big O's big government vision.  The private sector does not give Obama greater power and control - only bigger government does that.

And with Obama, it's all about the "O".
